Local Products

Hi everyone. Today I will be talking about local products and how they are good for our skin and economy.

If you buy localised products you will know where they have come from and be giving money to our economy.

So I always British things like makeup that clearly says "MADE IN BRITAIN" or if it doesn't say ask about it :)

Hope you likes today's post.
I will post again tomorrow.

Nail Art

You can get a nail art brush set for £7.00! It comes with 8 brushes for your nails, some are short and round, and some are long and pointy. They are really helpful to do dots or swirls and when you have done your nails with them they look pretty.

You can also get a nail art pen in silver for £6.00 and it is a really pretty shiny silver! The colour looks gorgeous.

I also recommend to get a top coat and it doesn't have to be expensive!

Ways to stay positive

Hello everyone.
It's just before my bedtime so I though that I would tell you about the ways I like to sleep.

1. I like to listen to the sound of waves and the beach or a ticking clock
2. I always have a herbal tea before bed. The reason I do this is so my body can re-hydrate my skin over the course of 8hrs.
It also Detox's your body.
3. Something warm is key. I always have a hot water bottle or a microwave teddy that you put in an  you will be warm for ages.
4. Quick snack. I have  a quick snack before bed, I always have a banana because they are easier for your body to digest an  don't put much fat on.
5. Snuggle down, get comfy in other  words. Lie on your back   it stops your face getting as oily an  dirty as lying on your side does.

Hope you enjoyed  these tips.

Whats On My Holiday Beauty Shelf?

One thing that I have to be very selective of, when going on a sunny, bikini-clad holiday, is deciding which beauty items I will be taking with me. I don't know about you, but personally, 90% of my holiday just consists of bare, makeup-free skin (with SPF of course). Therefore, once you have packed what you think you will need, take out at least 1/3 of the products and you should be good to go. I tried to stay very basic, and actually didn't use all of these items at all. Obviously we all have different types of holiday, some people like to really glam up in the evenings, and if that's the case, by all means, go a bit more overboard, but personally, I think the minimal the better.
In terms of skincare, I stayed very basic, and took a RMK Balm Cleanser* (not pictured as placed "neatly" by the sink in the bathroom), Hydraluron, Murad Hydro-dynamic Eye Cream* and a Laneige water sleeping mask (which I like to use in the daytime as a normal moisturiser as it's so lovely and hydrating). I also have a teeny nivea deodorant which perfectly lasted the whole 7 days. Beats taking the full size and wasting potential extra clothing weight. I also used P20 SPF 20 for the majority of the time I was there. As I'd been in the sun a lot more this year, I wasn't planning on burning myself to a crisp, so I started off the holiday with a higher SPF and then used this for the rest of the time, giving me a lovely natural tan. I also used a Vichy 50 SPF Face Sun Protectant*
I took a fair selection of lip products (First fail). When selecting colours to wear on holiday with the potential of getting a tan, don't take pale colours or you will look very scary and a little ill. This meant I didn't get any use out of the Bourjois Colour Boost "Peach On The Beach". Instead, I mostly reached for my bright orange Topshop Lipstick in "Infrared" which I found complimented my skin tone perfectly. I wish I'd taken a red or a bright pink, as I think they would have looked good also. I took a Maybelline Baby Lips in "Hydrate", although it's important to remember that it's only good for when you aren't in the sun, as a lip balm with SPF is essential. I had a Piz Buin SPF30 which worked wonders, and I used Baby Lips at night.
Other items of makeup that I used for the evenings were a dash of Collection Lasting Perfection concealer blended out with a brush, a smidgen of Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation (when it was still suitable for my skin colour - which was only the first few days), Guerlain Bronzer in Terracota* (I used this to death - some nights I only used this with a touch of mascara), Estee Lauder Tease for a touch of blush/highlight, the new blush by Benefit in "Rockateur"* (a nice mix of bronzer and blush), Urban Decay Naked Basics palette (I thought i'd use this for eyeshadow, but I only applied basic eyeshadow once, the only colour I did use daily was the matte brown in Faint for my eyebrows), Bourjois Liquid Liner Feutre* (Used this every night) and Benefit's "They're Real" Mascara* in travel sized form (too adorable). I didn't use powder as I didn't feel as though my face needed powdering as the sun made it a little dehydrated. I also didn't use my Benefit Erase Paste as it was too light in colour and creamy for the humidity.
Other things on my beauty shelf are Oribe Dry Texturising Spray which I did use a lot as it doubles up as a dry shampoo. A teeny bottle of Tresemme Hairspray (which I didn't use very much), Some Zoeva brushes* which I wanted to give a try, as they had been sent to me a while back (I was thoroughly impressed and will review them soon) and my Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Butter Cream (STAPLE).

Do you often find you overpack for winter holidays? What are your beauty essentials when going away?

NARS Orgasm dupe for £2.

NARS Orgasm dupe for £2.

So, If you have an ALDI shop near you, you're in luck. ALDI is a gert cheap supermarket with imported food produce (thus making is so cheap, but cheerful none the less). I was helping out with the weekly shop (as you do) when i came across their makeup section...i used to whizz past this...but on this ever so boring day I decided to have a little look. I was seriously amazed by the quality and price of the makeup they had. I bought a lipstick for £2, an underye concealer pen £2 (comparable to Yves St Laurant "Touche Eclat"...no joke) and lipgloss, an eyeshadow duo (which is so pigmented i swiped it and couldnt get rid of the colour on the back of my hand...like NARS) Then i spotted the blusher...This particular one is called "Sunset". I noticed it looked alot like NARS blush, so as it was only around £2 i thought "Oh eck..whyever not".

This blush is amazing...When i have it on my cheeks, i wouldn't be able to tell the difference between it and NARS Orgasm, and this is the tinyest fraction of the price. They don't look identical in the pans...but on the cheeks..you seriously wouldn't be able to tell any difference. It comes in a cute compact with a mirror and a brush (Although i wouldn't advise you to use the brush for application)

PLEASE go and buy it, you'd be stupid not to. :)

Sorry, swatches are a tad rubbish..but you get the general idea..both give off the same effect.

WAYS TO REDUCE STRESS

Hi everyone,
I know with school right now, I am very STRESSED! I bet a lot of you are stressed as well. In this post I will be sharing some ways to reduce stress, enjoy.

1. Yoga or Meditation
Yoga and meditation are great ways to reduce stress. Doing this can drop your stress levels, and make you less anxious. Staying calm while doing this is key. You can find some great yoga and meditation videos online if you don’t know how to do either.

2. Physical Activity
Take a break and go on a run, or do something active. When you exercise you create endorphins, which makes you happy, when you are happy you are less stressed. Remember to stay hydrated while being active.

3. Take a Tea break
Having a little tea break when I am stressed really helps me. Tea can reduce your stress level and make you feel calm. While drinking tea I like to clear my mind, this helps me remain serene. I like to drink earl grey, but chamomile is also excellent.

4. Make a list
A big part of being stressed is not knowing what to get done. I like to make a list of everything I need to accomplish. Even if I know what has to be done, I still like to write down, because I am a very visual person. As I accomplish what is on the list, I like to cross it out. This really makes me calm.

I hope these strategies help you now or in the future. Remember getting really stressed won’t help you, take a deep breath and do your best.
                Have a relaxed day!

ARE YOU FEELING DOWN? ASK YOURSELF THIS!

Hi everyone. I know from time to time we are all sad, depressed, etc. Whenever I am down I ask myself these questions and I automatically feel a bit better, and cheerful! I am not saying you will instantly feel better, but it might put things in perspective for you!

1. Do I have it worse than anyone in the whole entire world?
Probaly not a lot of kids or adults have it really bad. A many of the world is starving and homeless.

2. Have a lot of good things happened to me?
These things can be as small as picking out the pie we ate at dinner! The small stuff make life beautiful

3. What can I do to learn from this expirence?
If you failed a test maybe study more or use a different approach! There are ways to fix what you did wrong, so in the future it won't happen again!

4. Is there someone in this world who loves me?
It could be a parent or BFF! I know just thinking about that makes my day.

5. Is there other things I could be doing?
BY THIS I MEAN...You only have so much time in life, so MAKE THE MOST OF IT! IF you are feeling bad maybe listen to your favorite song to boost your spirits. MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR TIME, have it be positive time  not negititve.

I HOPE this helps when your having a bad day :)
